  The international community must correct the misperception that developing countries were only recipients of aid and that assistance was merely in a monetary form.

  Developing countries contributed substantial amounts of humanitarian relief, and the African Red Cross and Red Crescent societies played active roles in saving lives and livelihoods.

  A. Membership Requirements:

Membership is open to all African National Societies who are members in good standing with the Federation and who fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Participate in the audit in Transparency, Accountability and Gevernance conducted by SGS within 12 months of membership
  2. Attend the annual General Assembly
  3. Pay an annual membership fee of USD 500

NEPARC is based in Nairobi (Kenya), and has an operational office in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia). The operationnal office tends to the following matters: communication and coordination, services to the societies and member organizations, creating partnerships, reviewing the process of audits.
